Woodhaven Homes Calls for Volunteers for its Team

Woodhaven Homes, Inc. of Sherwood, AR today announced they will join ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for an upcoming build in the Greater Little Rock area. The Central Arkansas builder was selected to oversee and implement an intense one-week build that will change the life of a deserving Central Arkansas family. Though the exact location of the project has not been disclosed at this time, the Woodhaven Homes team looks forward to taking on this unimaginable task to give one of five families selected in the area a life changing gift – a brand new home.

“We have never taken on a project of this magnitude in this time frame, but we’re excited about the opportunity,” said Jack Wilson, President of Woodhaven Homes, Inc. “We look to our family and friends in the Central Arkansas building community for their support and means to help make this project possible for this deserving family.”

The builder is requesting volunteers in the Central Arkansas area to provide their time, support, and resources to help ensure the success of this life changing project. National Home Centers, Inc. has joined the Woodhaven team and made a major commitment of materials and resources to help make this project possible. Interested individuals or companies can find more information on the many ways to volunteer and show their support at the recently launched Woodhaven Homes Extreme Makeover: Home Edition website, which can be accessed through www.thehousejackbuilt.com/extreme.

In addition, Woodhaven Homes is inviting all volunteers and those who want to show their support for the project to a kick-off pep-rally on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 8:00am at the Church at Rock Creek in Little Rock. This event will be hosted by Woodhaven Homes and producers and representatives from the hit television show. All those who are volunteering, donating time or materials, and those who want to support the build are invited to attend.

Woodhaven Homes specializes in building top quality, energy efficient homes that are a great value to customers. The company uses a “team approach” to building, by bringing together several individuals who specialize in accounting, design, sales, and construction. Founded in 1970, Woodhaven Homes has developed into one of the largest home builders in the state of Arkansas.

Wilson is a leader in the residential building community in Central Arkansas. He is deeply involved the local, state, and national building industry as well as a large supporter of nonprofit organizations in the community. “Our team at Woodhaven Homes is extremely honored to be selected by the producers at Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” said Wilson. “Although, we do not know the exact location of the project, our team at Woodhaven Homes is looking forward to being apart of this life changing experience for a well deserving Central Arkansas family.”
