Rain slows progress on first full day of work

August 15, 2008 | 3

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15 - The first day has been busy getting the job site ready for tomorrow’s demolition. We’ve been busy disconnecting plumbing, and first electric is running new power lines. We installed a culvert for the county ditch, and crews are setting up tents. We have established a road that circles the job site for construction crews. This afternoon, rain and heavy lightning moved into the area which have caused the work to slow down until the danger passes. Please pray for the rain and lightning to stay away from us.

Stay tuned!

We have been praying for Job since seeing his website posted in his window at Children’s. What a great and deserving family. Thank you for doing such a great and awesome thing for them!

May Job and his family receive many blessings as the new home is built. We have been praying for all the McCully’s since first learning of Job’s condition. I am praying that the weather will be nice for the remainder of the time. Keep smiling through the storms. God is the one in control.

Fantastic: is how I would describe working on the EMHE home with Woodhaven, all of its wonderful volunteers and the EMHE crew. Paulie was especially helpful in our endeavour to create the perfect room for Job. As we worked on Job’s room we thought of him and what he might think and that pushed us even more to do the best room ever. We would do every home for EMHE if it were possible. Thanks to everyone again for your help and cooperation and congratulations to the entire family and best wishes to Job…We hope you love your room!!!!!!!
