THURSDAY, AUG. 21, 9:00 P.M. - Today the McCully Family saw their new home for the first time as Ty and hundreds of volunteers and spectators directed the bus driver to “move that bus!” The entire community was excited to see the limo come up the street and watched the joyful reaction of the family as they moved the bus knowing they gave of themselves to help others.
This has been an incredible experience. We’ve heard so many people who volunteered talk about how good they felt being part of it. Everyone was proud to be part of this exciting project.
I hope Job and his family will create many fond memories in their new home over the years.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 20, 9:30 P.M. - Everything is in the final stages! Today we had final drywall touch-up, final electrical walk through, final paint touch-up, final plumbing, HVAC start, cable and telephone re-connect. House numbers and mailbox were installed. The site and interior were cleaned. The keys to the house were turned over to the producers of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Now the production crew of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition work diligently to put the final touches on the inside of house!
We want everyone to come out tomorrow and welcome Job home! “Move That Bus” is scheduled for 2PM. We encourage everyone to arrive early and see the McCullys’ dream come true!

TUESDAY, AUG. 19, 8:15 PM - Today was extremely busy. There was a lot happening behind the scenes and inside the house that unfortunately we aren’t able to take pictures of. The TV producers prefer we not take any interior pictures so that everyone will watch with excitement when the show airs on TV this fall (date to be determined).
Today and yesterday all of the following took place to keep us on schedule to “Move That Bus” on Thursday at 2pm (be there early!).

TUEDSAY AUG. 19, 2:00 PM - Bob has become the unofficial foreman / mascot of the build. We’ve been told that Bob routinely comes down the street to visit Job when he is home. Since work began on Saturday Bob has roamed all around the site checking things out. Security is tight, but Bob has full access to everything. You can usually catch him hanging out in the catering or VIP Tent - and he always leaves happy. Bob has seen more people this week and had more fun than he probably has in his entire life, but even Bob is sometimes required to get rest. Notice the last picture. It’s good to know that Job has such a good friend like Bob. Stay tuned for another construction update tonight! (see photos below)
UPDATED: Bob was around so much, we decided to give him a shirt!

Over the course of the next five days a house will be erected for a deserving family by a community full of love for the McCully’s. FRIDAY, AUGUST 15 - The first day has been busy getting the job site ready for tomorrow’s demolition. We’ve been busy disconnecting plumbing, and first electric is running new power lines. We installed a culvert for the county ditch, and crews are setting up tents. We have established a road that circles the job site for construction crews. This afternoon, rain and heavy lightning moved into the area which have caused the work to slow down until the danger passes. Please pray for the rain and lightning to stay away from us.
